As I walked into ENH 224, I expected to receive a syllabus , receive a grade break down and to receive a midterm and final term date. As class went on, Professor Brim asked us odd questions. I was curious to see where this would go. He then handed us papers that said “ENH 224: The LGBT Short Story’.  This made me raise my eyebrow. As we started the class discussion, I realized that even though this didn’t make sense at first, it started to. Professor Brim asked “how do we think this class would connect to our career”? I personally think this class would  be beneficial because when I think of career. I believe a career is a job that you plan on having for a very long time and in your career you’ll be working with different people from different cultures to different sexuality. I’m curious to know, how else will this course build more connections to my personal life and my life outside of school other than my career path?
