As I walked through the door on my first day of my English class, I expected to sit through any typical English class like I’ve had in the past. Boy was I wrong! I sat in my chair as Mr.Brim was sharing his ideas and thought, “how will an LGBT class improve my knowledge?”  Throughout this course an open mind will only benefit me in the end as I can share my ideas with people outside of this class as I learn my classmates thoughts. Therefore, expecting the unexpected in life can introduce you to new ideas and change your outlook in life.
