I was so glad that I took 2 buses and a ferry to go to this event, not only was it extremely calming it was also motivating. The sound of the instruments along with the incredible poetry was so relaxing and moving. For once something that made me forget about my phone. I was so sucked in by her words and the sound of the instruments my body felt every word. I used to think poetry was pretty cheesy and “corny” for lack of better term but I especially loved Rommi Smith her words were so perfect the way she described death and talking to the air as a way to describe speaking to her loved one because he is now “everywhere” instead of the physical form. I just absolutely loved it all and I’m glad i was able to see poetry in a different way.  Thank you Mr. Brim for giving us the pleasure of witnessing that and for free.
