I found this event very interesting, I was not expecting to hear those types of poems. Both writers have their own unique style of writing, I liked the way that music was used to go along with the poems and different accents. It was something new that I experienced, I have never been to a poetry event and this one was good. I also enjoyed Tracie Morris’ unique style of writing, I liked the way she used her own experiences in her writing and that made it relatable and I could understand what she was going through.
