The Rich White Male VS. The Poor Black Male and Their Relatives (Unique)

I must say, reading Professor Brim Poor Queer Studies Journal was quite an interesting one. It opened my mind to many things that I didn’t really pay attention to before. I paid attention to it, but I never spoke on the harsh reality. I mean, who wants to speak on a harsh reality? No one. Nobody ever speaks on things that are unfair in the public eye. However, as I read this article one interesting fact stood out to me. Not only because it was true, but because no one ever speaks on certain things even though we all know the truth. The sentence that stood out to me the most was when Professor Brim quoted that “young black men from low income families are more than likely to be excluded from higher education because of their upbringing and the family where they’ve come from.” I agree because that is flat out the truth. As opposed to a white rich male who comes from a wealthy family. Why is that? Regardless of how smart the poor black student is compared  to the “rich” white male, the white male will always get chosen and you know why? That’s because it’s all about money and social status.  Professor even went to say that some of the most high scale expensive colleges recruit students from high scale high schools.  The percentage of white males in a high scale high school is much more higher than the black male as the percentage of Black and Hispanics male population is much more higher than the white male population in a poor low scale high school.
